G T Certification is an internationally recognised, comprehensive testing and measurement services company, specialising in the fields of construction products testing as well as in calibration and metrology.

Within its very enterprising Construction Section, G.T. Certification boasts a wealth of services and diversity of technical expertise, servicing many of the UK’s major construction and industrial flooring industries. G.T. Certification’s Laboratory Services are UKAS accredited for the testing of the compressive strength and density of concrete, mortars and grouts, with results available on the day.

A nationwide fleet of highly trained site technicians travel all over the UK, sampling fresh concrete and making cubes in-situ, as well as carrying out on-site tests such as ‘slump’ tests and air entrainment measurements. Their work also entails the transportation of all samples to G.T. Certification’s in-house laboratory, where they are placed in curing tanks within 24 hours of being made and strictly temperature controlled over the period of curing.

After curing, Industry recognised tests are carried out on cubes for compressive strength and density at regular intervals; flexure tests are carried out on beams; and CAT and ISAT tests are carried out on cast stone products. All measurements are carried out to rigorous procedures agreed by UKAS, and both British and European Standards are adhered to.

The Laboratory also provides a range of more specialist services, including Diamond Drill Coring; Abrasion Resistance Testing; Slip and Skid Resistance Testing and Adhesion Testing.
