ACIFC Gala Dinner 2022
The Association of Concrete Industrial Flooring Contractors (ACIFC) was delighted to host the ACIFC Gala Dinner 2022 on Thursday 16th June at the stunning McDonald Hill Valley Hotel & Spa. It was action-packed day of clay pigeon shooting and golf, followed by a drink’s reception and three-course dinner, as well as after dinner entertainment and presentation with Scottish rugby union coach and former player, Kelly Brown!
Two teams took to the stunning 18 hole course at the hotel in the early afternoon for a sunny day out. With some excellent shots (and near misses) the teams were treated to a beer break at the ninth hole! Presented with awards from guest speaker, Kelly Brown after dinner, members were rewarded for longest drive, nearest the pin, overall winning, winning team and of course, in the bunker!
If golfing isn’t your thing, members also went to a local clay pigeon shooting range for an “amazing afternoon”. Many complimenting the range and stating it was the best they had ever been to!
ACIFC social days are a great opportunity to come together to network and socialise. Kicking the dinner off, now past chair, Tom Hancock, gave an inspiring speech on how great it is to come together for these occasions and what the association means. Scottish rugby union coach and former player Kelly Brown then shared stories from his career and where he got his eyebrows from! Finished with a sing song getting everyone on their feet to sing a rowdy rendition of ‘Sweet Caroline’.
The following day, member attended the Annual General Meeting where Tom Hancock passed the role of chair to Chris Henderson with Kevin Dare in the position of Vice Chair.
